2010 -2011 Activities

In April 2011

On Saturday afternoon, April 30 2011, the 5th Asian-American Table Tennis Tournament of Tampa Bay was held successfully at the Lightfoot Recreation Center, Temple Terrace. This Tournament was sponsored by CAAT and USFAA.

All participants had a fun and pleasant time at the Tournament.

Special thanks to the all volunteers for their time and effort, and many thanks to all the players and friends for your participation and support as well.

In Feb, 2011

02/15/2011: Seminar on Personal Experience to Make A Good Photograph at the New Tampa Library was conducted by CAAT along with FC and FCC at which Mr. Chen Wang, a very bright young professional photographer made an excellent presentation which all the audience enjoyed the seminar very much.

In Jan. 2011

1) As a tradition, CAAT hosted the annual New Year celebration party on January 1,
2011, Saturday, from 1:30pm to 5pm at Rhapsody Ballroom, 12101 N 56th St. Tampa, FL 33617. It was a very successful celebration. Everyone who attended the party enjoyed it very much. Happy New Year to you all!

2) 2011 Tampa Bay Chinese New Year Celebration was held successfully at Blake High School on 1/29/2011 by SACA/CAAT. Thank all the volunteers and sponsors for your great dedication and support.

In Dec. 2010

1) On Dec. 12, 2010, CAAT Seminar on Healthcare was held at USFCI Cultural Center smoothly. Dr. Song was the speaker. Discussion was followed after Dr. Song's lecture. All participants enjoyed the lecture. Thank all very much for your interests and support.

2) Tennis Competition between Tampa Bay Chinese Tennis Club at Tampa (East League) and St Pete (West League) was held successfully at USF Tennis Court on 12/11/2010.

Organizers were Hong Li and Yueping Zeng.

CAAT was pleased to be one of the sponsors who supported this activity.

In Nov. 2011

Thank all the volunteers and players, the 4th Asian-American Table Tennis Tournament of Tampa Bay was successfully held at the beautiful Lightfoot Recreation Center on November 14, 2010.

CAAT and USFAA were the sponsors who supported this Tournament.

In Sept. 2010

On Sept 26, 2010. CAAT and USF CSSA hosted the 2010 Moon Festival Celebration Party at USF Marshall Center. The party turned out a big success. CAAT members and friends along with our distinguished guests and friends from CSSA watched the wonderful performances and shared moon cakes together.

In Feb, 2010

2/28/2010: CAAT Seminar - On Family Financial Management was held on Sunday afternoonat USF Cooper Hall. The speaker was Mr. Hanhua Yu. All participants enjoyed the lecture very much.

2/13/2010: Tampa Bay Chinese New Year Celebration was hosted by CAAT and SACA at Pasco School Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel. Thanks to all the collective effort and wisdom, the celebration turned out a biiiiig success!!!

1/1/2010: CAAT New Year Ballroom Dance Party was held at Rhapsody Ballroom successfully.

2004 Chinese New Year Celebration

The celebration of 2004 Chinese New Year on January 25th was a great success. There were about 1200 audience attending the party including quite a few non-Chinese-spoken friends. Overall activities, including the performance program, the photo show, the slide show, the Chinese Lantern puzzles, the kid program and the dancing party, were all well done. The success of this celebration party demonstrated the strength of the Tampa Bay Chinese Communities.

2003 Activities

September 2003

The mid-autumn party sponsored by CAAT, USFACSS and USFCS was held on September 5, 2003. It was a great success! More than 300 guests showed up. We enjoyed excellent performance, Karaoke, and dance. Please click following link to see party pictures.

June 2003

The 1st CAAT Table Tennis Tournament was held on June

21, 2003 afternoon at USF Friends of Internationals.

More than 20 players participated in the Men Single, Women Single, Team and Family games. The whole games lasted more than three hours in an atmosphere of friendship, excitement and joyfulness. Finally Dr. Ou, Yangchong, a practicing conventional medicine physician, won the Men Champion. The Women title went to Ms, He, Xiaoyuan, a resident from New Tampa area. Li, Hong and Cai, Lingang, who represented the Happy Family Club, won the Team trophy. Cai, Xingang and Li, Liusha couple were Family game champion.

May, 2003

CAAT 2nd anniversary celebration party was held in Tampa Palms Clubhouse on May 25th, 2003. There are more than 100 members and friends participating this activity. It was a huge success: delicious food, beautiful song, graceful dance and more importantly the face-to-face communications between CAAT board, members and friends.

This is the first major activity hosted by 2003/2004 Board. Your involvement is a great support for our work. Our hearty thanks extend to all the members and friends who volunteer their time and work to make this party a successful one. We are looking forward to a more colorful and fruitful year in serving Tampa Bay Chinese community.

May, 2003

On May 11th, 2003, CAAT sent its first team to take part in the Orlando basketball tournament. Although only won one game and lost two, we still did our best in the competition. We hope that more people will join the team so we will play better in the coming basketball tournament. Cheer for you CAAT team!

March, 2003

CAAT hosted Tung Tung basketball tournament on 8th, March 2003. The game started at 10 AM, ended 3:30 PM. 6 teams from Orlando, Miami, and Tampa join the competition. Tournament sponsor, Tung Tung team was the second winner last year, fell to fourth on Saturday. Tiger team of Tampa won third place, Rhinoceros of Miami took second place, and Gators of Miami won the champion trophy.

February, 2003

CAAT hosted a tax return seminar on February 22 at HOHO-CHOY restaurant. Dr. Yei Meihua, the senior accountant in Tampa Bay area was invited to give a valuable lecture on tax law and tax return.
